Browser games like Call of Duty (that you can play free, right now)

Aiming a rifle at a brick building at sunset on the Rustline map in Lobbystrike

Call of Duty is a 200 GB install, a launcher and a login. Sometimes you just want the part where two teams fight over a hardpoint for ten minutes.

No browser game is Call of Duty, and none of these are affiliated with it. But the modes that made the series, the ones people actually queue for, translate to a browser better than you would expect. Here is where to find each of them.

What people mean by "like Call of Duty"

Usually three things: fast respawns, modern military guns you can customise, and a playlist of modes with clear rules. Battle royale came later. So we judged games on those three, not on graphics. Nothing in a browser tab will look like a console release, and that is fine.

The modes, and where to play them in a browser

Call of Duty stapleBrowser equivalentHow it plays in Lobbystrike
Team DeathmatchLobbystrike, Bullet Force, Deadshot.io, Kour.ioTwo teams, respawns, frag, flash and smoke grenades each life
Search & DestroyLobbystrike, Forward Assault RemixPlant at A or B, no respawn, first to 4 rounds
GunfightLobbystrike1v1 or 2v2, same random guns for both sides, 40-second rounds
HardpointLobbystrike, Deadshot.ioOne zone that moves every 60 seconds, first to 150
DominationLobbystrike, Deadshot.ioHold A, B and C, first to 150
Kill ConfirmedLobbystrike, Deadshot.ioA kill only counts when the dog tag is picked up

Mode lists for other games were checked in October 2026 and can change. Lobbystrike's are read from the game itself when this site is built.

1. Lobbystrike

We build this one, and the mode list above is the reason it leads this page. Lobbystrike has 22 modes, and a lot of them will be familiar: Gunfight, Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Capture the Flag, Infected, Juggernaut, Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Hardcore. They share the same guns, bots and arenas, so you can switch from one to the next between matches without leaving the room.

The gunplay will also feel familiar. Aim down sights, lean round corners with Q and E, slide out of a sprint (switch it on in Settings), mantle over crates. Guns take attachments in the armory: suppressor, compensator, vertical grip, extended magazine. Rifle rounds go through timber and thin walls, so a plywood corner is concealment, not cover. After a death you get a short kill-cam from the other player's eyes.

What it does not have: killstreaks, operators with voice lines, a battle pass, or the visual polish of a studio with a thousand artists. The maps are clean and readable rather than pretty.

2. Bullet Force

Bullet Force is the nearest thing to a mobile Call of Duty that also runs in a browser. Create-a-class loadouts, attachments, killstreaks, and a familiar set of modes. If loadout tinkering is what you miss, start here.

Downside: the browser version lives on game portals, with their ads around it.

3. Kour.io

Kour.io looks more like Call of Duty than anything else on this list at first glance: military characters, small maps, quick deaths, class picks. It is built for short sessions.

Downside: thin on modes and depth.

4. Deadshot.io

Deadshot.io is closer to a competitive arena shooter than to Call of Duty, but it runs Hardpoint, Domination and Kill Confirmed, and its gunfights are sharp. See how it compares with ours in Lobbystrike vs Deadshot.io.

5. Forward Assault Remix

Strictly this is the Counter-Strike option, not the Call of Duty one. It is here because if Search & Destroy is the only mode you care about, a game built around bomb defusal is worth trying.

If you only try one mode, try Gunfight

Gunfight is the mode that survives the move to a browser best. Two players a side, no loadouts to argue about, both teams handed the same random guns, forty seconds on the clock. A round with a friend takes less time than a console game takes to reach its menu. In Lobbystrike, create a room, choose Gunfight, send the link, and let bots fill in if you are one short. The step-by-step is in how to play with friends, and the mode guide for Search and Destroy covers the round-based rules in more detail.

Questions and answers

Is there a Call of Duty game for browsers?

There is no official Call of Duty browser game. Several free browser shooters offer similar modes. Lobbystrike has Gunfight, Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Infected and Gun Game, and none of them need a download.

Which browser game has Search and Destroy?

Lobbystrike has a full Search & Destroy mode with two bomb sites, no respawn and side swaps. Forward Assault Remix is built around a similar bomb-defusal format.

Can I play Gunfight in a browser?

Yes. Lobbystrike has a Gunfight mode for 1v1 or 2v2 with identical random loadouts and 40-second rounds.

Are these games affiliated with Call of Duty?

No. Call of Duty is a trademark of Activision. The games on this page are independent and only share similar game modes.
